He’s the Moth Seeking Light
You are successful when you grow as a person and feel fulfilled in your journey. This week reflects that, as I made new friends, felt inspired, and filmed some scenes for my upcoming video. This newsletter is also special because of my friend, Kamran.
Let’s start with a quick photo tip.
Don’t Just Stand and Take a Photo
It may seem obvious, but when I see people pulling out their mobile phones and taking photos only at eye level, I feel compelled to suggest that they squat, sit on the floor, or look down. The photo above not only follows the rule of thirds by having the subject positioned a third from the left, but it also offers a unique perspective. Make a small effort for big rewards!
THE QUEST: WHO AM I?
I created a storyboard for my upcoming video, shown above. It visually represents each scene, and drawing them helped me realize I needed extra scenes to match my script. Please don't laugh at my drawing—it's my best effort! 😊 I've been shooting one or two scenes daily, as setting up lights and planning takes time. It's been a fulfilling process.
Alongside that, there’s a struggle in me to find out who I truly am. Other than advice and inspiration I want to give people as a creator, I believe I can do more to give back. What are my unique skills, qualities and strengths that can make me influence more people positively? I don’t want to be just a creator. My potential and knowledge can be used beyond creativity by remaining in the creative field. I seek a purpose higher than me, yet I am unsure what that purpose is. I want to rise to the level of that purpose when I eventually figure it out.
