How to get a FILM LOOK in your videos
At the time of writing this blog, I am a small YouTuber with only approximately six thousand subscribers. I am still puzzled as to why a well-known company like Dehancer would approach me to make a video for them. I hardly get any views and the appreciation I get for my creative work is limited to only a few hundred viewers that watch my video. I am not complaining because when I was approached by a representative from Dehancer, I felt recognised and also happy that I will now have the challenge of making a video in a creative fashion.
Dehancer is the plugin suite for film-like colour grading and film effects. It supports dozens of real photographic and motion picture films with truly analogue controls. The plugin allows the creation of effects like Film Grain, Bloom and Halation to complete the look. I use Adobe Premiere Pro, but Dehancer makes plugins for Davinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro as well. Their plugin is not limited to motion pictures, but also still photography. I made the film below and my last two London films using Dehaner. Colour Grading is not my speciality, and if a tool like Dehancer can give me a quick turnaround time, then why not!
