The best time to take photos of Yasaka Pagoda and Shrine in Kyoto, Japan
As a photographer, it was challenging for me to capture a photo of Yasak Pagoa and the Shrine that wasn't crowded during the day. It felt like bumper-to-bumper traffic, where toes and backpacks collided. Whether it's cherry blossom season, autumn, or winter, Japan, particularly Kyoto, is always bustling.
Just a quick hello: I am Muji, and I am so glad you stopped by! I am a passionate writer, photographer, and filmmaker living in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa.
I also saw enough shots of Yasak Pagoda and Yasak Shrine taken early in the morning, so I decided to go there late in the evening to have the entire place to myself. Lo and behold, the area was deserted, and I could choose an angle and take photos to my heart’s content. So I took the following shot, which is also a unique angle, at night with a model in the foreground and Yasak Pagoda in the background while the entire Kyoto city was asleep. It’s safe to be there, and I was not worried about security. I edited this photo in a teal and orange look.

While there were a few people at Yasaka Shrine, I managed to capture a decent image of it as well, no tripod was needed as I shot it with a high ISO.
