What makes a good photo?

I am very close to finishing my photography course. I will focus on developing a marketing strategy for the next two to three weeks before officially launching it.

Marketing is a real test for me; I need to learn how to market something and implement that knowledge. It is not my strong suit, and I did not receive formal training during my previous employment. If you are into marketing, any input will help me. If you want to join the waiting list for an early bird discount, please click here

So, what makes a good photo? During four interviews I conducted for the photography course, I posed this specific question to several industry-renowned photographers. Interestingly, none of them mentioned “composition,” “camera settings,” or “the camera” as their primary focus. However, throughout our discussions, they highlighted the significance of these aspects, along with other important elements of photography.

I want you to explore Gordon’s Skill Development Ladder, and I'm excited to create a video about it. In essence, these photographers have honed their craft, mastering the settings, composition, and camera functions to such a level that they are unconsciously skilled, as per Gordon. It’s like talking and breathing at the same time unless you are my daughter. I have observed these photographers in the field; they are energetic and full of a strong desire to take the best shot in their thought patterns and actions.

When I started photography, I needed mentorship, guidance, a sense of community to connect with like-minded beginners and professionals, and access to valuable resources. My course is designed to provide all of that and more. I’m confident that the momentum I’ve built will lead to significant growth and success for everyone involved. I hope to bring my students to a level where they are also "unconsciously skilled.”

I truly appreciate you taking the time to read and respond to my emails and watch my videos. Your support means so much to me and inspires me to keep going. Thank you for being such an important part of my journey. I wish you all the best. Stay blessed!
